I'm terrible, aren't I? I just go AWOL without warning, and then you guys all feel like spanking me, don't you? (hmmm, on second thought, maybe I just do it for the spankings, what do you think?)

Aaaanyway, I debuted at SBG on September the 1st, and I've been having a blast! It's been such a wonderful experience, I'm thrilled to have my Studio open! Plus Megs is there to hold my hand, which has been a major help!

Here's my hubby in our living room. Talk about multitasking!
This was made entirely with Penny Springmann's gorgeous Rock Star kit. I pretty much begged to be allowed to play with this kit before I got sick, and I'm only now finding the time to play. There are so many photos I want to scrap with it, it's unreal. If anyone knows where I can buy more hours for my day, please let me know, lol! Rock Star was actually the kit that made me fall in love with Penny's style, I love it to bits!

Swirl Pools!

Hi everyone!

I have been working on a few new things and my latest pet project, Swirl Pools, is already in the store. It's basically two swirl packs in 5 different colours each, with 6 swirl designs, and then for each you have one clear plastic, one glitter overlay, and one complete puffy plastic glitter one. You can then mix and match them to your heart's content, and get a ton of different looks out of them. Can you tell by my babbling that I'm really really proud? LOL!

Hi everyone!

Before I get on with the post, I'd like to thank everyone for your amazingly warm comments to my share of Love Actually. You probably have no idea, when you click that little button, how cherished your comments will be, but they have honestly made my day. I read each and every one of them, both here on the blog and on 4Shared. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I wanted to let you all know that I have changed my design name. When I started this blog, I did it with the blog name "mgl Scraps", but I was posting under "Jester's Tear". The nick "Jester's Tear" is very dear to me, it's been my nick ever since I have had an internet connection, and I'm very proud of it. So, when I got onboard Scraphead, I chose to be listed as "Jester's Tear". That seemed to cause some confusion, and I have heard that more than one person couldn't find me because they were looking under "mgl Scraps". And, well, my logo does say "mgl Scraps", so I have figured I should stop confusing everyone, LOL.

So, my design name is also "mgl Scraps" from now on! I'd love your thoughts on this, did you even know I was under "Jester's Tear" at the store? Did you go looking for "mgl Scraps" and couldn't find me? Or am I just confusing everyone further?

On other, completely unrelated news, I got my hubby into digiscrapping! And, let me tell you, he was bit by the digiscrapping bug lightning fast! He already has a blog and everything, you can go visit him at http://moonscraps.blogspot.com . How awesome is that?

Love Actually - At last!

First of all, and before I give you your well-deserved freebie, I want to send out a huge THANK YOU to all the lovely comments you left me here on the blog. They made me feel so appreciated, I got a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

I ended up missing my son's party at the park, that was one of the worse days for me. Now I'm at the point where the pain is completely gone, as well as the infection, but I'm not 100% out of the woods yet, because my eardrums are still sort of glued inside. I'm under strict instructions to chew a lot of gum (!) and blow my nose often, even if it's dry, to help make my eardrums pop and, if all goes well, that will be the end of it. If all goes less than well, though, they'll have to do a kind of small surgery, or so I'm told. Here's trusting in the power of the almighty chewing gum!

On other news, I am planning on having a CT Call - probably a CT Challenge, to borrow the idea from my fried Flergs - in the near future, I just need to get a few things back on track.

Hi everyone!

I know you're all probably tired of hitting the refresh button on my blog, coming from one of the collab girls' blog, and wondering where on Earth is my share. The truth is, it won't be available today.

I fell ill at the beginning of last week, but it was mild enough not to bother me. It was a pesky viral infection that David, our youngest boy, caught and promptly dealt with in a few days. Apolo had it, hubby had it, I had it... it was annoying, but nothing much. Then, by Saturday, I felt an enormous pain in my right ear, just after blowing my nose, but it went away after a few minutes, so I thought nothing of it.

Monday morning I woke up with the ear pain again and, this time, it just wouldn't go away. Hubby took me to the hospital, they misdiagnosed me, mis-medicated me, it spread to both ears, I had to rush to the hospital again and, after two shots, the pain finally went away, but I'm partially deaf for the time being. Yesterday, since although the pain was gone, the unrelenting pressure in my ears wasn't, I called to a different doctor. Turns out I should be taking an additional med, only no one had seen fit to tell me that before.

Fast forward to today and, in addition to the stupid pressure inside my ears and the partial deafness, I puked my guts out after taking the antibiotic. I feel tempted to say this can't get any worse, but don't want to jinx it. Yesterday was Apolo's 10th birthday, and I couldn't enjoy it with him; the party will be Saturday at the park, and I'm beginning to fear Vasco (hubby) will just have to take the kids without me. I'm beginning to feel slightly desperate.

What, I hear you ask, does this have to do with your promised freebie? Well, I didn't get to finish it. I swear I tried to get it ready, even gave it an extra push yesterday, but it was turning out to be a rush job and, freebie or not, I don't want to give you substandard designs. I will finish it as soon as I feel slightly better, I promise!

Beginnings

I found this photo of me and Vasco (hubby) holding Apolo when he was such a tiny baby, and I just knew I had to get it scrapped. I have precious few decent photos of Apolo at this age, because I never allowed anyone to use flash, for fear of hurting his eyes, and no one had a good enough camera to take good shots without it.

Then, somewhere along the way, my layout turned into the first page of a bragbook I hope to make, probably all of it using Nicole's Film Noir papers as a base. Aren't they gorgeous?

In addition to the Film Noir paper, I used the flowers, frame, cardboard tag, alpha and paper tear from her Summer Sorbet Elements Pack, and the photo corners and clear plastic tab with paper are freebies on her blog.

I've been awfully silent lately, but I intend to make up for it today with a mega competition! We'll get to that in a minute but, first, let me show you my brand spanking new collection, Dreams in Colour. It will be in the store later this week, and I had a blast making it!

Instead you guys gave me 45 comments in a day, I'm still dumbstruck! Thank you! X-Ray results came back, everything is OK with my son's arm, he just has to take it easy during the weekend and should be completely well by Monday. Woohoo!

Meanwhile, The Sunshine Team(look to your left)'s mega collab kit, Whimsical Wonderland, is almost ready to go, so keep an eye out for the blog!

Today I bring you the third part of my mgl 28 kit, this bit is butterflies and frames.

There is still an alpha (only caps and numbers this time) to come, so keep checking back.

Also, when I decided to make this kit, I couldn't make up my mind between polka dots and little spirals, so I made papers, mini tags, flowers and paper clips with both patterns, plus a patternless set of clips and flowers. They're virtually the same as the polka dot ones, as you can see here in the preview, so my finger hovered on the delete button more than once today, but I can't shake the feeling someone might actually want them, even though they're similar.

mgl 28 - part two

First of all let me start by saying I was overwhelmed by your comments and birthday wishes, they made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! :D I had a lovely birthday, thank you!

I almost didn't get part two ready today - hectic day, up to and including the possibility that my oldest son has fractured his arm playing football (soccer for all you americans), we'll know for sure tomorrow when he gets X-Rayed. It was a pretty strange fall, and there was a respectable amount of bleeding, but his skin didn't break, so it's all on the inside of the skin. Painful looking, and the fact that it's his left arm doesn't help at all, because he's left-handed.

Anyway, enough rambling, here's mgl 28 - part two for you. There is still more of this kit to come during this week, so keep stopping by the blog.

Grrrr! Yup, I just had to say it, I hate paypal!

Weeds and Wildflowers is on sale since Friday, and I had my heart set on getting the beautiful Believing in You paper pack, element and alpha pack and add-on, by Gina Marie Huff, at a great price.

I have used paypal in the past, but they've changed the rules since then, and it simply won't accept virtual credit cards created with our portuguese secure system, MBnet, which is simply completely idiot, because MBnet automatically locks the requested funds in your account and acts, for all intents and purposes, as a 100% safe Credit Card. Argh!

So, I e-mailed Weeds and Wildflowers but, while they were really nice and sympathetic, there was nothing they could do. I think I'm sending paypal an e-bomb!!!

On a far less frustrated, much happier note, it's my birthday!!!, so expect freebies from me later today!
